In the darkest depths of another kind of cosmos justice is upheld and right enforced by agents of S.P.A.C.E (Sentient Protoplasm Against Colonial Encroachment): the police arm of the United Animal Federation. The mammals of this Aniverse are at war with the amphibians of the Toad Empire, and their evil overlord the computer tyrant Komplex. When a running battle forces the S.P.A.C.E Frigate Righteous Indignation to crack the walls of the continuum, captain Bucky O’Hare, Jenny the Cat, android Blinky, and Deadeye the four-armed duck end up in little Willie DuWitt’s closet in San Francisco. The ingenious Grade Schooler helps out the refugees from beyond, but is subsequently trapped in the Aniverse, becoming a crew member until they can find another portal to his home. But meanwhile Willie’s got front row seats for the greatest adventure in two universes!

The comic features two spies, Black and White, who are constantly warring against each other, and coming up with increasingly sophisticated ways of doing away with the other. They are made to look virtually identical: trilby hats, overcoats and long pointed noses. The only difference between them are the color of their clothes: one dresses in white, the other in black. A typical plot would be one spy setting up a booby-trap for the other to fall into and be "killed". Sometimes the trap works, but sometimes the other spy comes up with a brilliant counter plan of his own (often by watching the spy set up the trap, or just somehow knowing about it) and will be the final winner. However, sometimes the other spy expected this and set up a similar trap for them. In other cases, the losing spy will use a plan B to counter the other spy's counter.

In a world where humans have to live with the living dead, a new job opportunity is born: zombie catcher. Karl Neard, his sister Maggie and his Belgian friend Freddy Merckx embrace this career in hopes of making easy money. Unfortunately, the job isn’t that simple: not only are zombie’s dead bodies walking, but they also have a terrible scent and an awful sense of humor. As a matter of fact, zombies just don’t care about anything, for their lives are behind them and they have an eternity to enjoy. This is how Karl and his team end up attracting all sorts of freaks in 2064 Los Angeles.
