Rod Serling - Planet of the Apes Visionaries (2018)

Based on the original screenplay for Planet of the Apes by The Twilight Zone’s Rod Serling.

On the road to making the landmark science-fiction classic, 20th Century Fox commissioned Rod Serling to adapt the source material. Serling’s first draft, which was drastically revised before filming, is a radically different vision of the franchise than the one the world has come to know and love.

Now, for the first time in any medium, that vision is fully realized as a graphic novel with Planet of the Apes: Visionaries from acclaimed actor/comedian/writer Dana Gould (The Simpsons) and Chad Lewis (Avengers Origins).

This is the world you know from the acclaimed Planet of the Apes film series, but with key differences - Taylor is Thomas, and Ape City isn’t a crude, primitive grouping of huts; instead, it’s a bustling and urbane metropolis filled with cars and skyscrapers and a vibrant Ape culture. In a world where Apes wear modern clothes, drive modern cars and rule the late night talk show scene, the arrival of one man will forever change how Apes – and Humans – view themselves.

Impractical Jokers The Movie (2020) BRRip

In IMPRACTICAL JOKERS: THE MOVIE, viewers get a flashback to an incident from the early 1990s in which the four titular jokers -- "Q" (Brian Quinn), "Murr" (James Murray), "Sal" (Sal Vulcano), and "Joe" (Joe Gatto) -- try to sneak into a Paula Abdul concert by donning yellow "security" jackets. The plan works, but they wind up ruining Abdul's show; she punches Sal and vows revenge. Years later, in the present, Abdul recognizes the men from their popular reality show and hands them tickets to a party in Florida, which inspires a road trip. Unfortunately, there are only three tickets, so the men propose a contest: Whoever loses the most practical joke "challenges" during the road trip relinquishes his spot at the party. After many challenges, a loser is chosen, but that's far from the end of the story.

Mick Wall - Last of the Giants: The True Story of Guns N' Roses (2016)

Many millions of words have already been written about Guns N' Roses, the old line-up, the new line-up. But none of them have ever really gotten to the truth. Which is this: Guns N' Roses has always been a band out of time, the Last of the Giants. They are what every rock band since the Rolling Stones has tried and nearly always failed to be: dangerous. At a time when smiling, MTV-friendly, safe-sex, just-say-no. Bon Jovi was the biggest band in the world, here was a band that seemed to have leapt straight out of the coke-smothered pages of the original, golden-age, late-sixties rock scene.

'Live like a suicide', the band used to say when they all lived together in the Hell House, their notorious LA home. And this is where Mick Wall first met them, and became part of their inner circle, before famously being denounced by name by Axl Rose in the song 'Get in the Ring'.

But this book isn't about settling old scores. Written with the clear head that 25 years later brings you, this is a celebration of Guns N' Roses the band, and of Axl Rose the frontman who really is that thing we so desperately want him to be: the last of the truly extraordinary, all-time great, no apologies, no explanations, no giving-a-shit rock stars. The last of his kind.

The Dame Edna Experience - Season 2

Truly original and utterly hilarious, British television series The Dame Edna Experience parodied the talk show genre through the outrageous antics of British comedian Barry Humphries and his fast-talking, purple-haired alter ego Dame Edna Everage. Matt Groening - Life in Hell Book Series (1977-1992)

Matt Groening will be forever known as the guy who created The Simpsons, Futurama and Disenchantment. But did you know that before he created his animated empire, he was a cartoonist? Not only that, but he consistently worked on a comic series for over three decades?

Flashback to 1977: Matt Groening had recently moved from his home in Portland to Los Angeles in the hopes of becoming a writer. While working a bunch of dead-end jobs and living in a crappy apartment, Matt Groening began drawing a comic-book. It had a simple art-style in the vein of newspaper cartoons. Some pages were a single panel strip. Some had 16 panels jammed into the same amount of space – sometimes even more.

It was an outlet for Matt Groening to scream at the chaos of modern life, a place for him to express his angst, self-loathing and cynicism about relationships, work, life and death. It was appropriately titled Life In Hell.

Mike Reiss & Mathew Klickstein - Springfield Confidential

In celebration of The Simpsons 30th anniversary, the show’s longest-serving writer and producer offers a humorous look at the writing and making of the legendary Fox series that has become one of the most revered artistic achievements in television history.

Four-time Emmy winner Mike Reiss - who has worked on The Simpsons continuously since episode one in 1989 - shares stories, scandals, and gossip about working with America’s most iconic cartoon family ever. Reiss explains how the episodes are created and provides an inside look at the show’s writers, animators, actors, and celebrity guests. He answers a range of questions from Simpsons fans and die-hards and reminisces about the making of perennially favorite episodes.

In his freewheeling, irreverent comic style, Reiss reflects on his lifetime inside The Simpsons - a personal highlights reel of his achievements, observations, and favorite stories. Springfield Confidential exposes why Matt Groening decided to make all of the characters yellow; dishes on what it’s like to be crammed in a room full of funny writers 60 hours a week; and tells what Reiss learned after traveling to 71 countries where The Simpsons is watched (ironic note: there’s no electricity in many of these places); and even reveals where Springfield is located! He features unique interviews with Judd Apatow, who also provided the foreword, and Conan O'Brien, as well as with Simpsons legends Al Jean, Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, and more.

Springfield Confidential is a funny, informational, and exclusive look at one of the most beloved programs in all of television land.

Neil Gaiman - Anansi Boys (2005)

Even now, twenty years later, Charlie Nancy can t shake that name, one of the many embarrassing gifts his father bestowed before he dropped dead on a karaoke stage and ruined Fat Charlie's life. Because Mr. Nancy left Fat Charlie things. Things like the tall, good-looking stranger who appears on Charlie's doorstep, who appears to be the brother he never knew. A brother as different from Charlie as night is from day, a brother who s going to show Charlie how to lighten up and have a little fun.
