Bottomless Belly Button is a comedy-drama that follows the dysfunctional adventures of the Loony Family.
After 40-some years of marriage, Maggie and David Loony shock their children with their announcement of a planned divorce. But the reason for splitting isn't itself shocking: they’re "just not in love any more." The announcement sparks a week long Loony family reunion at Maggie and David's creepy (and possibly haunted) beach house.
The eldest child, Dennis, struggles with his parents' decision while facing difficulties of his own in his recent marriage. Believing that his parents are hiding the true reasons behind their estrangement, Dennis embarks on a quest to discover the truth and searches through clues, trap doors, and secret tunnels in attempt to find an answer. Claire, the middle child, is a single mother whose 16-year-old daughter, Jill, is apathetic to the divorce but confounded by Claire and troubled by her own "mannish" appearance. The youngest child, Peter, is a hack filmmaker suffering from paralyzing insecurities who establishes an unorthodox romance with a mysterious day care counselor at the beach.

World War Terminus had left the Earth devastated. Through its ruins, bounty hunter Rick Deckard stalked, in search of the renegade replicants who were his prey. When he wasn't 'retiring' them with his laser weapon, he dreamed of owning a live animal -- the ultimate status symbol in a world all but bereft of animal life. Then Rick got his chance: the assignment to kill six Nexus-6 targets, for a huge reward. But in Deckard's world things were never that simple, and his assignment quickly turned into a nightmare kaleidoscope of subterfuge and deceit -- and the threat of death for the hunter rather than the hunted...

Vyvyan is a medical student with spiky red hair and four metal stars across his forehead. The regular target of his rage is Rick, an arrogant little poseur who sees himself as a real anarchist, but is in fact a cowardly Cliff Richard obsessive. The only common ground that Rik and Vyv share is their mutual loathing of Neil, a refugee from the hippy era whose flower power is definitely wilting. She may leave the home of the Commander and his wife once a day to walk to food markets whose signs are now pictures instead of words because women are no longer allowed to read. She must lie on her back once a month and pray that the Commander makes her pregnant, because in an age of declining births, Offred and the other Handmaids are valued only if their ovaries are viable. Offred can remember the years before, when she lived and made love with her husband, Luke; when she played with and protected her daughter; when she had a job, money of her own, and access to knowledge. Alice N' Chains was an American glam metal band from Seattle, Washington formed in 1986 by former members of Sleze. Towards the end of their run as Sleze, discussions arose about changing their name to Alice in Chains. However, due to concerns over the reference to female bondage, the group ultimately chose to spell it as Alice N' Chains. They performed under this moniker over about a 12-month period and recorded two demos before breaking up on friendly terms in 1987. One of its members, Layne Staley, ultimately took the name that he and his former bandmates had initially flirted with when he joined a different group a few months later that ultimately became known as Alice in Chains. Alice N' Chains recorded two demos known primarily as "Demo No. 1" and "Demo No. 2"; both from 1987.

This apocalyptic neo-Western transpires in a future in which technology has been lost, and the human race has devolved to the cultural level of 1800s America. A man-pig hybrid known as Oink wanders the landscape, attempting to solve the riddle of his own terrible origins, and to find his own paradise, where he may live free and in peace.
Joining forces with embittered super-soldier Bone Machine, Oink strives to ensure that the nightmare world of human technology that birthed him will never again create monsters such as him.
Ultimately, Oink’s surreal journey allows the reader to view the inhuman aspects of being human, through the eyes of a being that remains external to humanity and its cruelty. Oink learns the hard way that each creature has the ability to make a heaven of its world…or a hell.

In the great tradition of the American almanac, The Areas of My Expertise is a brilliant and hilarious compendium of handy reference tables, fascinating trivia, and sage wisdom on all topics large and small. Although best sellers such as Poor Richard's Almanack and The Book of Lists were certainly valuable, they also were largely true. Here is a different kind of handy desk reference, one in which all of the historical oddities and amazing true facts are sifted through the singular, illuminating imagination of John Hodgman, which is the nice way of saying: He made it all up.

Between 1985 and 1987, an angry ex-preacher in Houston was the hottest comic on television, screaming his way through memorably ferocious sets on Letterman, SNL, and Rodney Dangerfield's Ninth Annual Young Comedians Special. Kinison's first solo HBO showcase was his victory lap, collecting the best of his early routines, from rants about his troubles with women to some boldly blasphemous thoughts about the grossness of Christ's crucifixion. ("I like being the only savior who can use his hand as a fucking whistle!") It was wildly inappropriate, shockingly hilarious material from a comedian who turned a banshee scream --"Oh oh OHHHHHH!" -- into both a post-punchline punctuation and a signature move.
