Bob Odenkirk - A Load of Hooey (2014)

Bob Odenkirk is a legend in the comedy-writing world, winning Emmys and acclaim for his work on Saturday Night Live, Mr. Show with Bob and David, and many other seminal TV shows. This book, his first, is a spleen-bruisingly funny omnibus that ranges from absurdist monologues (Martin Luther King, Jr’s Worst Speech Ever) to intentionally bad theater (Hitler Dinner Party: A Play); from avant-garde fiction (Obituary for the Creator of Madlibs) to free-verse poetry that's funnier and more powerful than the work of Calvin Trillin, Jewel, and Robert Louis Stevenson combined.

Erich von Daniken - Chariots of the Gods (1968)

Immediately recognized as a work of monumental importance, Chariots of the Gods endures as proof that Earth has been visited repeatedly by advanced aliens from other worlds. Here, Erich von Däniken examines ancient ruins, lost cities, spaceports, and a myriad of hard scientific facts that point to extraterrestrial intervention in human history. Most incredible of all, however, is von Däniken’s theory that we are the descendants of these galactic pioneers-and he reveals the archeological discoveries that prove it…

The dramatic discoveries and irrefutable evidence:
• An alien astronaut preserved in a pyramid
• Thousand-year-old spaceflight navigation charts
• Computer astronomy from Incan and Egyptian ruins
• A map of the land beneath the ice cap of Antarctica
• A giant spaceport discovered in the Andes

Erich von Daniken - Chariots of the Gods (2011)

Erich von Daniken's Chariots of the Gods is a work of monumental importance--the first book to introduce the shocking theory that ancient Earth had been visited by aliens. This world-famous bestseller has withstood the test of time, inspiring countless books and films, including the author's own popular sequel, The Eyes of the Sphinx. But here is where it all began--von Daniken's startling theories of our earliest encounters with alien worlds, based upon his lifelong studies of ancient ruins, lost cities, potential spaceports, and a myriad of hard scientific facts that point to extraterrestrial intervention in human history. Most incredible of all, however, is von Daniken's theory that we ourselves are the descendants of these galactic pioneers--and the archeological discoveries that prove it...

* Thousand-year-old spaceflight navigation charts

Chariots of the Gods (1970) DVDRip

Fifty million stars in our galaxy have the potential of supporting life forms capable of traveling to other planets, says world-renowned authority Erich von Daniken, whose film version of his best- selling book, Chariots of the Gods, gives stunning visual proof that some form of life from outer space landed on Earth centuries ago. It took five years for von Daniken to document, on film, the physical evidence of visits by galactic travelers who came to Earth. Just what they did here and the influences they left behind is the core of the film. In search of basic truths, the film, Chariots of the Gods, takes the viewer into the far reaches of underground caves and tombs, and to the tops of desolate mountains on every major continent to show the evidence von Daniken has been collecting. Although this controversial film may provide the answers to age old mysteries, it may be the beginning of an entirely new set of questions.

James Joyce - Ulysses (1922)

Loosely based on the Odyssey, this landmark of modern literature follows ordinary Dubliners in 1904. Capturing a single day in the life of Dubliner Leopold Bloom, his friends Buck Mulligan and Stephen Dedalus, his wife Molly, and a scintillating cast of supporting characters, Joyce pushes Celtic lyricism and vulgarity to splendid extremes. Captivating experimental techniques range from interior monologues to exuberant wordplay and earthy humor. A major achievement in 20th century literature.

James Joyce - Ulysses (1981)

A dramatized reading of James Joyce's masterpiece adapted for BBC Radio. Timelessly evocative, it is far more than the story of Stephen Dedalus' journey through Dublin. It is a huge, rich portrayal of human life. In this magnificent, highly accessible, part-reading part-dramatization, the power and truth of Joyce's vision is as potent as ever.

Mike Allred - Madman Adventures (1993)

The title character is one Frank Einstein (say it together to get the joke). He’s a costumed do-gooder who defends Snap City against all manner of evil, such as the roaming gangs of street beatniks who are laying an evil trip upon the populace.

In addition to crime-fighting, Frank acts as an assistant to Dr. Boiffard and Dr. Flem, the original mad scientists. In this latest adventure, Frank accompanies Dr. Flem on a wacky journey across time itself, in an effort to record the whole of human history. The Hermit's Cave aka The Mummers (1940)

The Hermit was a depraved, cackling old geezer who seemed to delight in the gruesome, the grisly, the ghoulish, and the ghastly--it's little wonder he was forced to go off and live in a cave. There he dwelt, inviting the unwary in to hear his tales of the dark and the macabre. The stories often ended badly for the protagonists--much to the frenetic glee of our mentally unbalanced host.
