Set in a fictional London suburb, The Thin Blue Line follows the Gasforth police force as it does its (incompetent) best to protect the area. Split into two factions, uniformed and plainclothes, Inspector Fowler leads his party (the uniformed) in an old fashioned crusade against crime, at the mercy of constant ridiculing by the smug, ambitious and patronising Detective Inspector Grim.
