Tripping The Rift - S01E04

The episode starts with hot Chode-on-android action, showcasing Chode's disinterest in Six's satisfaction. Their sexual games are discovered by Whip, who turns blind. Chode watches a commercial about shield devices available on a nearby planet, where he decides to go to make a bargain. On the planet Snozzle, polluting is punishable by the death penalty. After getting a free package of Clownzooka chew and spit gum, Chode is arrested and convicted of polluting after spitting his gum on the street. Chode is sentenced to death by public electrocution. While Six wants to rescue Chode, the others are more interested in letting him fry.

Dominic Pedler - The Songwriting Secrets Of The Beatles

Thirty years after The Beatles split up, the music of Lennon, McCartney, Harrrison and Starkey lives on. What exactly were the magical ingredients of those legendary songs? Why are they still so influential for today's bands? This ground-breaking book sets out to explore The Beatles' songwriting techniques in a clear and readable style. It is aimed not only at musicians but anyone who has ever enjoyed the work of one of the most productive and successful songwriting parterships of the 20th Century. Author Dominic Pedler explores the chord sequences, melodies, harmonies, rhythms and structures of The Beatles' self-penned songs, while challenging readers to enhance their appreciation of the lyrics themselves with reference to the musical context. Throughout the book the printed music and lyrics of The Beatles' songs appear alongside the text, illustrating the author's explanations. The Songwriting Secrets Of The Beatles is an essential addition to Beatles literature - a new and perceptive analysis of both the music and the lyrics written and performed by what Paul McCartney still calls 'a really good, tight little band'.

David Atchison - The Warriors Official Movie Adaptation

The year 2009 marks the 30th anniversary of the Paramount Pictures film classic, The Warriors, directed by Walter Hill, who later went on to direct 48 Hours, Last Man Standing, and the acclaimed series Deadwood. Now, for the first time, this movie phenomenon has been adapted into a thrilling graphic novel. The story chronicles one night in the lives of the New York City street gang, the Warriors, and their harrowing journey for survival and redemption. Cyrus, the messianic leader of the city's largest gang, the Riffs, declares a truce and calls a summit in the Bronx with all the rival gangs in attendance. Cyrus's vision is to unify all the gangs into one superorganization, one that the cops will never be able to control. But during the meeting, Cyrus is assassinated, and the murder is pinned on a member of the Warriors. With no time to prove their innocence, the Warriors have no choice: they must run - for their lives and for their honor. But it's a long, long way from the Bronx to Coney Island, especially with an entire city of ruthless thugs swearing vengeance and out for blood.

Alejandro Jodorowsky - The Metabarons

The Metabarons is a science fantasy comic series relating the history of a dynasty of perfect warriors known as the Metabarons. Every Metabaron is conceived by his mother in a non-natural way (eg. by cloning or incest). In his youth he is handicapped by his father so that his endurance to pain is tested, and that he receives a powerful mechanical body part as a replacement for the destroyed limb - making every Metabaron a cyborg. The rite of succession is equally as cruel and uncompromising. In each generation, the son and heir must eventually face his father in a battle to the death. These battles have taken many forms, from hand-to-hand combat to dogfighting space duels. The rite of succession is only achieved once the cursed son succeeds in killing his father.
