Break Up:
The Windwagon Gang rob a train carrying Aztek artifacts on loan from Mexico; At the request of the governor of Texas, The Lone Ranger and Tonto get involved, but with their relationship strained by a press that continually relegates Tonto to sidekick status, and The Ranger beginning to believe his own hype, can they hope to bring the villains to justice, or will their latest adventure be their last?
It Crawls:
The Windwagon Gang has inadvertently unleashed an ancient unspeakable evil, an evil that has decided it likes the new century. Meanwhile, The Lone Ranger and Tonto discover that the governor of Texas wants them to pursue this new investigation for purely political reasons, and Tonto discovers that The Ranger has a hidden past connection to the gang's leader, "Big Bull" Barrett.
Origins:
With the Aztek mummy eating its way across Southwest Texas, The Ranger and Tonto learn of its origins from their mutual friend Wu Chan. Tonto presses the issue, and The Ranger reveals his darkest secret that results in the end of their partnership.
The Last Battle:
While Tonto wrestles with his own less than spotless past, The Lone Ranger sets out to discover the secret of the Aztec Mummy and to stop him at the Alamo, as well as redeem himself of a horrible legacy. He determines that he will become that which he actually believed himself to be, the character he has created, THE LONE RANGER.
