Still grieving seven years after the death of his human (“Mabden”) wife Rhalina, Corum found himself mystically summoned to aid the people of a later age, who had come to revere him as a demigod. These people were the Tuha-Na-Cremm-Croich, who were being run off their lands by seven giants known as the Fhoi Myore. The Fhoi Myore would utterly destroy the people unless they could somehow accomplish two great tasks: taming the black bull Crinanass and recover the magical spear Bryionak. Doing either was a task that no man had been able to manage. Thus the people had called for their god, Corum.
Corum came, albeit with great misgivings and a heavy heart. He had fought gods, though he was a mere man himself. Still, the call of loyalty was irresistible.
