Leonard Zelig is a social quick-change artist whose neurotic insecurity forces him to mimic -- mentally and physically -- whomever he’s with. Treated by Dr. Eudora Fletcher, Zelig is slowly cured, and in the process goes from side-show freak to national celebrity -- to Eudora’s fiancé! But when misdeeds from Zelig’s multiple-personality past start to surface (larceny, bigamy and an unauthorized appendectomy), the human chameleon is on the run again, and Eudora must search the world over to find -- and save -- the only man who’s every man she’s ever wanted!

The Little White Bird is a series of short episodes, narratives and day-to-day accounts of J. M. Barrie's life in London. The tone oscillates from whimsical to social comedy to darkly aggressive. Part of the book's continuing popularity was due to the couple of softer chapters telling the story of Peter Pan, later to become the hero of Barrie's most famous work.

A children's book, sharp social commentary and sad psychological thriller about a man's search for a sense of belonging. All in one amazing and lyrical collection. This is the first book in which Peter Pan starts to appear. His adventure in Kensington Gardens are first narrated here. Other than that, it offers a magical portrait of contemporary London, and a realistic tale of a family to which every one of us could have belonged.

Eleven "Powerhouse Pepper" strips, three "Supersonic Sammy" stories, and one "Hot-head Hotel" make up the meat of this marvelous tome - a worthwhile wad of Wolverton (early Mad, Marvel monster comics, Plop, Spacehawk, "Lena the Hyena" in Li'l Abner) wit we're sure you'll want to welcome (with a wail), whisk up, weep over, wince over, whinny and whoop over. See Supersonic Sammy save Stalin. Wonder at Wolverton's wanton winds of wisdom, alliteration antics and able artistry. Peer piously by as polite Powerhouse Pepper pounces into peril, pounding his piston-packing punches passionately 'pon noses, necks, napes, nostrils, navels, noggins and knees, all with a chuckle, a wink, and a grin. Take it from us, these are bar none the funniest Wolverton workouts you'll come across in any millennium.

Spain Rodriguez's My True Story is--among other things--some of the best work that alternative comics can offer. Spain is one of comics' sharpest and most passionate observers, and, from his early years with the notorious Road Vultures Motorcycle Club, through his coverage of the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago, to his acid commentary on the Iran-Contra scandal, he's always managed to be in the right place to see the yellowish underbelly of late 20th-century America. Both the autobiographical and the historical strips of My True Story are odes--usually tragic--to freedom created by one of comics' most original artists.
